Boxes Books and Butter

No sooner have I settled in, I have to worry about moving out again.

Pearly told me that someone rated moving as the number 2 stress factor.

Well, I moved into a place where the lease will end in October. So yeah, we have a few months to ponder our future home.

Here I am wondering how many things do I actually need?

I seem to have run out of things to throw away.

Then again I still have 3 boxes I’ve yet to unpack.

If I threw them away, I might not miss the contents. I know one of them contain books.

You don’t THROW books away.. do you?

My mom once brought me to a lady who could tell you what you were in your past life by looking at your birthdate, exact time of birth etc..

She said I used to be one of the dudes who helped burned books for the Emperor Qin Shi Huang during the Qin Dynasty.

The way to atone for my ‘past sins’? Abstain from beef and convert to worshipping the Goddess of Mercy.

Wait, there’s an ‘or else’!

Or else I get cataracts.

Hmm.

I went vego for 6mths a while ago…but soon caved in to meat of every kind. I love my vegetables, I do love the occasional meat as well. Let’s just say, at least when there’s no meat to eat, I would still love chomping on salads and fruits.

I also love my butter. No margarine or whatever polyunsaturated spread. Just butter.

And it has to be Lurpak Butter. Nothing beats having it melt onto freshly toasted bread. Yum!

I live for simple comfort food. I live for watching the clouds in the sky do their dance and create different scenes for my viewing pleasure and endless imagination.

I live for a clean patch of grass that I can lie on to watch the clouds, chomping on a salad and butter toast.

I live for waking up to a place I can call home, since I don’t live with my family anymore. I try to make each place I move to ‘home’.

So far the new flatmates have been super. There’s a lot of interaction going on and everybody is friendly and considerate.

I do miss Sharon, my previous flatmate. We still catch up when I pay her a visit at her shop in Far East Plaza.

I’m pretty broke at the moment, but I am thankful for the special people around me. Especially my brother Jeff.

To my friends who are going through some tough times, my thoughts are with you. As long as we live to see tomorrow, there will be a solution. Somehow, sometimes, help arrives a little later than we expect it to.

I say it’s never too late for anything.

Go Spunky!
