Ok, I’m no food writer.

The yakitori at Kazu (Cuppage Plaza #04-05) is yummmmmmms!
Dinner with my good ol’ bro for his birthday, dinner was arranged by my flatmate, Sharon. She’d been raving about their Foie Gras yakitori. Because of my crazy schedules working on the career, I couldn’t find the time to go eat with her.

After modelling my hair (the only part of my body worth modelling, actually) at Toni&Guy and a long photoshoot with a certain magazine, I was sure I wanted to crash. I wanted to jump into a swimming pool and just float around. I was beginning to wonder if it was a good idea to have arranged dinner after such a day. Hell, it might not sound very tiring to some of you but believe me.. I’m no model, posing is tiring and quite frankly, scary. It was a real eye opener for me, that at my age I’m still uncertain about how to pose for the camera cos I’d rather be BEHIND it.

So.. back to dinner. As soon as the food came, I put a piece of pork rolled with golden mushroom in my mouth. I woke up a little, thanks to the Asahi I was drinking with my brother, and decided I wanted to enjoy dinner to its fullest.

When the foie gras arrived, Sharon said,’This is my HEAVEN!’

I put one in my mouth. Closed my eyes and savoured the flavour.

Ladies and gentlemen, this IS the place to go if you have a craving for foi gras. Cos it’s cheap compared to eating anywhere else. Two fat pieces of foie gras skewered onto a stick costs about $6. How much do you pay at other restuarants?

Other items we had: Pork Belly, Cow tongue, pork with asparagus, chicken heart, chicken innards, bbq fish….. shiok!

Happy Birthday bro, glad we brought you to Kazu.

Spunkymonkee is grateful for Sharon, who is the best flatmate anyone can ask for.

    Ooooooh I’ve been wanting to try kazu! Okay shall take your word for it. I heart yakitori, especially asparagus pork!
