Spunky and Bikes Part 2

I shall try to remember what happened on that day.
Joan carefully checked out the little ‘road’ which led us towards a farm and supposedly the end for any four wheels. You could probably ride in there with a bike, past all that lalang.

How many people still use the term lost in the lalang?
Joan made about a 7 points turn to get back out, man that spot was tight. Filled with lalang, and tight.
On our way back, Joan said confidently, ‘Okaaay, now that we’re familiar with the road….’
I havent’ had so much fun in a while. Except my bum still hurts from that fall I had at Joan’s house. Every bump on our way back out was OUCH OUCH OUCH. Still, it was FUN FUN FUN!
That girl can really drive lar.
So while the crew took forever to get Emily ready. We got busy checking out the kids.

sooo cuuute…

soooooo cuuuuuuute…..
Mr MGD decided that his kids will ride dirt bikes. I reminded him he said he didn’t want kids sometime ago. The more we watched these kids, the more I was thinking I wanted MY kids to ride dirt bikes too. I have been struggling with the idea of having kids. It’s always nice when you can give ‘em back to their parents, a whole different ballgame when they are YOUR OWN.
So…. back to the kids on bikes.

This one made a lotta noise…

Soooooooooo cuuuuuuuute!!!!
I’m sure you get the point about kids on bikes by now.
Here are the adults, including Emily. I took a while to get the right shooting mode for these pics w my brother’s Canon A520. I also used my SE k750i for some shots. These pics have not been photoshopped.
Because Spunky is lazy.

I’m looking forward to hitting the dirt one day, like these guys..

Emily warming up.

The man with the expert advice

Emily suffered a nasty fall before this shot, so by this time she quite sian oredi…..

Emily says this guy is one of the better Motorcross dudes, i went out on the dirt to try and get good pics of him..

And this is now my desktop picture!

I FINALLY passed my 2BL3!!! Strangely I like riding in the rain. I passed in the rain twice now.
I know everybody was freaked out by the wet roads especially the figure 8. I figured if I didn’t get over the fear of wet roads I might as well stick to taking taxis.
Wet weather = cool weather = less stress
Everything gets familiar after some practice. I can’t practise at all till lesson time so I have to go with my guts. I just want to get till 2BL5 so I can start booking for revisions to develop GOOD RIDING HABITS… (Blindspot checking, lane changing,signals.. blah blah…)
So I can pass my TP in the future lar…..
I guess I was messing around a bit yesterday. Everytime I couldn’t get on the bend of the figure 8 properly because I was going too fast and wasn’t dragging the brakes properly, I’d ride over the grass and skip the course. I really didn’t wanna fall so I thought I’d do that and join the queue again for another round. On the crank course I went over the dirt quite naturally too when I couldn’t lean/turn enough. The instructors shook their heads, I gave my thumbs up. I ran into another guy while coming out of the figure 8 course cos he lingered there a little too long, I jumped off cos I didn’t wanna fall and get pinned down by the bike. Even that didn’t get me pissed.
Cos it was POURING…
I have a feeling most people at the driving centre think I am crazy.
2BL4 on thursday!
Spunkymonkee is grateful for supportive friends. I appreciate it 100%.

Anyway, from the way you ride up those curbs, I don’t think there’ll be any problems in the dirt. But you ain’t gonna jump anything.
